Engineering and Robotics
Engineering and Robotics Electives
Robotics (G: College Prep Elective)
- Students learn to design, program, and build a variety of robots. Students will also be trained in 3D modeling software and learn how to 3D print custom designs as well as basic electronics.
Pre-Engineering (D: Lab Science)
- Pre-Engineering is a survey of engineering fields. Students will work on projects such as bridges, towers, water rockets, mini solar cars, catapults, and basic electronics among others. Learn about careers in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer engineering, and more.
Engineering/Honors Engineering
- Our Engineering and Honors Engineering classes are designed for students to be able to focus on the engineering projects they want to pursue. Students have the ability to propose their own large scale projects they will work on with a team of students. This is designed to help students further their interest in engineering by applying their knowledge into projects of their own design.
RAWC Team 968
- Team 968 is our competitive robotics team that has been a part of the FIRST Robotics Competition since 2002. Earning multiple awards, regional wins, and invitations to the prestigious World Championships in Houston several times over the years including 2023.
- RAWC operates very much like any club/sport where any student with an interest and dedication can show up and be a part of our team. No prior experience needed.
- We have a dedicated team of students and professional engineers who serve as mentors who are ready to help show you what it takes to build a world class robot.
