Principal's Message

Welcome to West Covina High School, Home of the Bulldogs!

We are proud of each and every one of our students.  Our students at West Covina High School will achieve our Schoolwide Learner Outcomes called GROWL:

We want GROWL for all of our students as they embrace all the opportunities that they have here at West Covina High School; the best high school in the world.  We are truly the home of Scholars and Champions.  We offer 27 AP courses providing all students access to the highest level of high school academics in the Advanced Placement.  More than 61% of all of our students have taken an AP course by their senior year and this academic year in 2025, we are getting ready to honor 85 AP Capstone Diploma scholars.  An AP Honor Roll School, we consistently provide our seniors access to Ivys, UCs, CSUs, 2Yr, Military and career options.

We offer Performing Arts education through our Performing Arts Academy which will soon be located in the new Performing Arts Center.  Our Culinary kitchen is state-of-the-art and gives students the opportunity to run their own restaurant called The Bistro.  Our Robotics Team has competed at the national level and has a dedicated Robotics Arena along with a Computer Science Lab.  

Our AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) program is a gateway to college access especially for our first-generation college-going students and we offer students tutoring year-round. Our students are all leaders because they can participate in Leadership through ASB, Link Crew, Renaissance or Athletic Leadership. 

Last year, our football team was in the CIF Championship game and our E-Sports team won the CIF Championship! We are proud of our athletics and this year, we welcome a new sport in Flag Football.  

So Bulldogs, let’s take full advantage of all that WCHS has to offer and make the best of this year! I look forward to seeing you on campus.
